If your G8 is completely dead, you will need to gain access to the USB-C port directly on the RH side of the G8, and plug this charger in there
Note: With the latest updates, the USB-C port on the G8 harness will no longer supply enough power to charge the G8, you must charge directly into the port on the RH side of the G8. For hood mounted G8's, you can access the USB-C port by removing the windshield, opening the door on the side of the G8 with an o-ring pick, and then inserting the cord with a needle nose pliers.
